In the latest installment of the Looking Back series, we take a look at the game that established Kiro’o Games as the premier game developer from Cameroon following the release of their 2016 action RPG – Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan.
Released on April 14th 2016, Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan released to mixed to positive reviews and was marketed as the first action adventure RPG cloaked in a fantasy African environment for players keen to inhabit a never before seen setting within the genre.

The game launched in a window with less established titles and held its own. Taking second place based on cumulative estimated revenue on a day that saw the likes of Code of Princess, Phantasmal, Soda Drinker Pro and Wobbly Jungle all launch to varying degrees of success.

Aurion remains a steady seller and even experienced its strongest sales performance a year after release. A breakdown of its lifetime sales by players shows that its player base consists of players from the US, Germany and France.
Aurion remains a consistent seller and can be bought on Steam today.
