Dooshima Games is inviting players to test its deduction game inspired by a Nigerian street game, following its selection for the DevGAMM Awards 2026 competition.
Nigerian solo developer Dosshima Anger, working under the name Dooshima Games, is looking for players to help test and refine After Round One, an upcoming strategy and deduction game built in Unity.
The project draws inspiration from a Nigerian street game and translates its familiar mechanics of finger-counting, prediction and outsmarting an opponent into a digital experience. In After Round One, however, players face a decidedly unimpressed AI rather than a friend across the street.
After Round One began as an entry for the GMTK Game Jam 2026. Since then, the project has expanded into a more ambitious game. The game has also been accepted into the DevGAMM Awards 2026 competition, giving the project an opportunity to reach a wider audience and gain further exposure within the international games development community.
With the project moving forward, Anger is now inviting players to try the demo and provide feedback that can help guide the next stage of development. In a social media post, the developer described After Round One as a game for players who enjoy party games, deduction experiences or simply want to support independent developers.
The demo is available for free on itch.io through a name-your-own-price model, and Anger says it takes only a few minutes to try.
“Every bit of feedback shapes where this game goes next,” the developer shared, encouraging players to offer honest thoughts—whether positive or critical.
Players interested in supporting Nigerian independent game development can try the After Round One demo and share their feedback with Dooshima Games.
