Lagos-based indie developer Inuv8 Studios has been accepted into Microsoft’s ID@Xbox program, the company announced this week, clearing the way for its debut title, Project OVERRIDE, to launch on Xbox alongside its previously confirmed releases on PC via Steam and on PlayStation.

The announcement was shared by Inuv8 Studios CEO and game developer Daniel Shontan, who confirmed that the partnership with Xbox represents another step towards bringing the Nigerian-developed title to Xbox players.

“We’re officially an ID@Xbox Partner!” Shontan announced.

According to Shontan, the partnership means Project OVERRIDE is now being positioned for Xbox alongside its previously announced PC and PlayStation targets.

“This means another major step toward bringing Project OVERRIDE to Xbox players alongside PC (Steam) & PlayStation,” he said.

Override is a narrative-driven sci-fi action RPG set in a world reclaimed by nature, haunted by machines, and governed by the remnants of an AI that once tried to save humanity. Further details on Project OVERRIDE including a release window and platform-specific features have not yet been announced. However the game can now be wishlist on Steam.
