Mauritius based indie developer, Vipin Dhunnoo is the founder and XR Architect at Generative Arts, who has been making games and immersive experiences for close to a decade. His long in development project Pieter Both Village is finally nearing it release with a demo available to play right now.

Originally revealed in 2022, Pieter Both Village is a third-person adventure zombie game that takes you to a remote, eerie village at the foot of the legendary Pieter Both mountain in Mauritius. Inspired by a chilling Mauritian folktale, the game immerses you in a world where myth and reality collide, and the past refuses to stay buried.

Pieter Both Village draws inspiration from the folktale of Pieter Both Mountain, with developer Vipin Dhunnoo aiming to showcase the richness of Mauritian folklore through an innovative storytelling medium. This game is entirely self-funded and crafted by a solo developer, encompassing everything from music and modelling to level design. It will be available on both PC and Android platforms.

The demo can be downloaded and played from Steam.
