Africa Games Week (AGW) has opened submissions for the Africa Games Showcase, an official Steam event organised by AGW, giving African developers a dedicated storefront to put their games in front of Steam’s global audience.

The showcase will bring games developed across the continent together under a single banner on Valve’s platform. According to the organisers, the aim is to celebrate the creativity, diversity and commercial momentum of African studios while helping developers drive wishlists, boost sales and gain international visibility.

The call is open to African studios, solo developers and collaborative teams whose titles are either already live or upcoming on Steam. Developers can submit their games here.

The showcase lands alongside the build-up to Africa Games Week 2026, which returns to Cape Town, South Africa, from 6 to 8 December 2026 for its ninth edition. Billed as the continent’s premier games industry business event, AGW positions itself as a bridge between global capital, international publishers and regional stakeholders on one side, and African creative talent on the other.

The AGW Awards ceremony will also return to Cape Town in December to recognise the teams, individuals and initiatives pushing African game development forward. Nominations are now open across multiple categories, covering technical excellence, narrative design, innovation and industry impact. Studios may nominate themselves, and peer nominations from across the ecosystem are encouraged. Nominations can be done here.

Africa Games Week is set to return to Cape Town between December 6th to December 9th 2026.
