Electric Blue: Gecko Dash which was a jointly developed project by Kenyan Usiku Games and Kayfo Studios is celebrating hitting over 100k downloads since its launch in February 2024.

The game hit the number after being featured by Apple as “Game Of The Day” in Kenya, India as well as several countries across Europe and South America.

Usiku Games founder, Jay Shapiro addressed the news on social media

Proof that good old fashioned organic UA efforts still make a huge difference for freetoplay mobile games. Last week Electric Blue was featured by Apple in 118 countries around the world. That fact alone was enough to push us over 100,000 downloads of the game! Hopefully, we’ve crossed the tipping point now, and we’ll see if the momentum continues.
