Self named studio, Rojeh Maher is a family affair from Alexandria in Egypt. Rojeh is the architect and artist whilst his siblings (including his pre-teen younger brother) and friends inhabit other roles within the studio. Following a foray into game development prior to the pandemic, the close knit team has scored its first hit by being featured on the App store for their game Panda Food Business.

“Working on Panda Food Business has been a challenging yet rewarding experience. Balancing the development process alongside other commitments required careful time management and dedication. We started with a clear vision, outlining the game mechanics, design elements, and monetization strategies. Regular play testing and feedback loops played a crucial role in refining the game mechanics and overall user experience,” Rojeh Maher stated.

Their game dev journey started back during the pandemic days. They created a simple hyper casual game in that time, which thanks to the positive feedback received spurred them to embracing commercial products.

At the beginning of 2021, Rojeh learnt puzzle design, but found it difficult to get something working (because he never had a coding background). However, with the help of visual scripting, he made his first title Chloe Puzzle Game. It was a success for him to get the project done and admired by players in 6 months since it was created from start to finish.

“We adopted a phased approach for the game’s release, initially launching on Google Play and later on the App Store. This allowed us to gather valuable insights from the Android user base, addressing any issues or improvements before reaching the iOS audience. The staggered release strategy also helped us fine-tune the game based on early player feedback, ensuring a more polished experience for both platforms. Now Panda Food Business is available on Google Play and the App Store,” Maher concluded

In terms of the roadmap for Panda Food Business, they are in the midst of developing substantial updates to enhance gameplay, introduce new levels, shops, costumes and more recipes. Boat restaurant level, Drive Thru and much more as well as address any feedback received from the players.
