The second edition of the XR Innovation Bootcamp is scheduled to take place on the 25th of June. The date was revealed by Arome Ibrahim, who is the co-founder of Experis Immersive – an Extended reality (XR) content development agency that creates immersive, innovative and interactive experiences.

Arome is also the team lead at Immersive Tech Africa, a creative non-profit organisation that leverages XR technologies to create impact-driven experiences and solutions that inspire global action toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Their goal is to utilize immersive technology innovation for social good. Their initiatives include – XR Innovation Bootcamp, XR Innovation Week, XR Innovation Lab, Heritage XR, and XR Innovation Community.

The XR Innovative Bootcamp forms part of the key initiatives to democratize and support Africa’s adoption, growth and continental-wide development of XR. The Bootcamp with feature masterclasses from some of the best and most experienced XR developers in Africa and worldwide to engage and reinforce deep learning through hands-on, real-world projects and digestible bite-sized XR learning content.

The day-long Bootcamp offers participants the opportunity to have a detailed guide in building their journey and skillsets in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), 360 virtual reality and Web extended reality. The participants will also have access to VR hardware, mentors and support from Immersive Tech Africa’s partners such as Fectar, Enspire Hub and Experis Immersive.
