Tunisian independent developer NewGen Studio has brought its atmospheric psychological horror game TOYCRAFTER to consoles. The game launched on Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on October 1, 2026, through a collaboration with porting studio Take It Studio. NewGen Studio developed the original game, and Take It Studio handled the console ports.

The console release follows a successful run on PC, where TOYCRAFTER has earned a “Very Positive” user rating on Steam. The game has also attracted notable attention from players and content creators in South Korea and Japan. That interest from Asian audiences helped lay the groundwork for this expansion beyond its original platform.

In TOYCRAFTER, players step into the role of a lone craftsman working inside an isolated workshop. What starts as an unusual crafting project slowly turns into something far more disturbing. Players cut, paint, assemble and customise dolls while strange details begin to surface around them.

Instead of relying on combat or a steady stream of jumpscares, the game builds dread through atmosphere, sound design, isolation and uncertainty. The workshop itself becomes the main source of tension. Players are encouraged to watch their surroundings closely and question what they think they are seeing.

“Bringing TOYCRAFTER to consoles is an exciting milestone for us,” said NewGen Studio. “The reception from players and creators, especially in Korea and Japan, has been incredibly encouraging. We’re excited to give console players the opportunity to step into the workshop for themselves.”

TOYCRAFTER is available now on Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, and on PC via Steam.
