Financed by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), CreaTech Animation & Game Lab is the brain child of ADMI (Africa Digital Media Institute) and Rubika with its robust education program set to commence in February 2020.

Based on France’s recognized expertise in the animation and gaming sectors, the collaboration will aim at supporting production of local content from Kenya and East Africa towards the global animation and gaming industry.

Offering two programs (certificate in game animation as well as game design and development degree), students will be taught jointly by ADMI and Rubika trainers in an intensive program supported by fully equipped animation and gaming labs at their state of the art campus.

Students in the program will be assigned a dedicated high-end workstation, loaded with the latest software and learning aids, to use over the duration of their certificate or degree program.

Game Design & Development Degree
Students in the game design and development degree program will be prepared in year 1 and 2 with skills in 2D and 3D Game Design and development. In year 3, students will be equipped with game business and monetization skills. On completion of these 3 programs, students will be eligible for a Game Degree from Rubika, in addition to the knowledge & skills to start their own gaming platform.
● 2D Video Game Design and Development ( Certificate on completion of Y1).
● Game 3D Diploma Begins January 2021 (Diploma on completion of Y1 & Y2).
● Game Marketing & Monetization Certificate Begins January 2022 (Degree from Rubika in France on completion of Ys 1-3).

An open day for the general public to visit and converse with instructors is set to take place on the 1st of February 2020.
The program kicks off on the 3rd of February 2020.
