Malaika Games, a mobile game studio based in Cotonou, Benin, has announced that its debut title, Clash of Myths, will launch on the App Store and Google Play on Friday, August 7, 2026.
The studio confirmed the release date through posts on LinkedIn, with founder Isdine Ibrahima Gnorra describing the launch as the culmination of “an incredible journey” for the team. In a statement shared on the company’s LinkedIn page, Malaika Games said it was “proud to announce” the title’s arrival and thanked its community for their support ahead of launch day.
Clash of Myths is an idle RPG that draws players into the Trojan War, reimagining the clash between the Achaeans and the Trojans as told in Homer’s Iliad. The game blends classical mythology with idle-RPG mechanics, tasking players with building their forces and navigating the battles and rivalries at the heart of the ancient epic.
Founded in Benin, Malaika Games positions itself as a studio built around fast prototyping and hybrid-casual mobile game development, with a broader ambition of contributing to Africa’s growing presence in the global games industry. Clash of Myths marks one of the studio’s most visible projects to date, following a series of development updates the team shared with its community in the weeks leading up to launch, including behind-the-scenes looks at the game’s design and combat systems.
