South African, Yellow Lab Games are continuing to build a nice head of steam ahead of the release of their upcoming rock and roguelite – Metavoidal by being selected as one of the Indie 80 at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

The Cape Town based developers saw their game take home the Best game to watch when somebody is playing it accolade at the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom 2023 and continue that momentum with a visibility boost at one of the big five industry events.

Metavoidal is a pixel art roguelite brawler where you play a drummer fighting their way out of the clutches of a corrupted band and their cult.

Metavoidal is being published by Astrolabe Games – a global video game publisher with a focus on indie titles and is scheduled for a 2024 launch.
