Egypt’s game development scene is entering a new phase of growth with the launch of Assembly Games Egypt (AGE), a new industry association dedicated to supporting, organizing, and expanding the country’s game development ecosystem.

Founded to serve as a central hub for Egypt’s growing network of studios, independent developers, academic institutions, and community leaders, AGE aims to create the infrastructure and industry support needed to help Egyptian game creators compete and thrive both locally and internationally.

The organization’s mission focuses on four core pillars: industry advocacy, knowledge sharing, networking, and ecosystem development. By bringing together stakeholders from across the industry, AGE hopes to strengthen collaboration and create clearer pathways for growth, talent development, and international visibility.

Egypt has steadily emerged as a promising market for game development talent, fueled by a young digital-native population, increasing technical education opportunities, and a growing number of independent studios and creators. Despite this momentum, the ecosystem has historically lacked a unified industry body capable of representing the interests of developers and connecting different parts of the sector.

AGE was established to help address that gap.

“We believe Egypt has the talent, creativity, and ambition to become a major force in game development,” the organization states. “AGE exists to make sure that talent has the support, visibility, and connections it deserves.”

Currently in its founding stage, Assembly Games Egypt is actively onboarding member studios and strategic partners from across the country. The organization plans to foster stronger collaboration between developers, educators, investors, and community organizers while helping create new opportunities for Egyptian-made games to reach regional and global audiences.
