Egyptian game developer Hassan Adham has been recognised as one of four standout Arab developers featured in a recent AMD-backed showcase hosted by the Arabic Games Conference (AGC).
The showcase brought together a select group of developers demonstrating promising projects, with Adham representing Egypt among a cohort of four creatives from across the Arab world. His inclusion highlights both individual achievement and the broader rise of Egypt’s game development scene, which continues to gain traction on regional and global stages.
Speaking to Arabic Games Conference about his project – The Virtuoso (a non-commercial demo blending the fluid free-flow combat of the Batman: Arkham series with a stylish, ranged precision), Adham said, The Virtuoso began as an experiment with my partner, Mohamed “Mickey.” Initially, it was just a way to showcase a character model I worked on, but the idea evolved. We wanted to see if we could make it interactive, and eventually it became clear that the concept had the potential to grow into something more substantial.
In a further boost to participating developers, AMD partnered with Arabic Games Conference 2025 to support the showcase, awarding each of the four selected developers a top-of-the-line ASUS Mini PC.
Beyond hardware support, AMD is also expanding its engagement through the AMD Developer Community program, a collaborative space designed for developers to connect, share feedback, and access technical resources. The program aims to foster long-term growth by building a more connected and supported ecosystem for creators in emerging markets.
Since its founding, Arabic Games Conference has played a crucial role in spotlighting regional talent, offering opportunities that bridge the gap between local creators and global industry players. You can learn more as well as read the full interview with Hassan on their website.
