Over the past decade, the G4C Student Challenge has enabled more than 55,000 students and 1,100 educators to become innovative changemakers through game design. Participating educators receive access to free professional development sessions, comprehensive teaching resources,  and the opportunity to join a global community of educators integrating game design into their teaching practice. Students ages 10-18 can participate in this year’s competition, tackling three pressing global challenges:

Peaceformers Challenge: In partnership with the Whitaker Peace & Development Initiative, students will design games set in imagined civilizations where peace depends on equitable resource sharing. They will explore how fair distribution of food, water, and shelter can foster peaceful societies.

Nurture Yourself with Nature: Supported by Earthwatch Europe, students will create games that address eco-anxiety by connecting players with nature through five pathways, demonstrating how environmental engagement builds mental health and resilience.

Outplay Hunger: In partnership with World Food Program USA, students will develop games that tackle food waste and promote healthy diets, inspiring community action for a more sustainable food future.Students can submit games for a chance to win incredible prizes, including a $10,000 scholarship from Take-Two Interactive!
