Games for Change has partnered with Google Play and Hewlett Packard to launch an open call for developers from underrepresented groups interested in Diverse Voices, New Stories Challenge.

Now in its second year, the initiative should appeal to African developers since it aims to amplify the visibility of creators within the mobile gaming industry, with participating developers standing the chance to win up to $10,000.

Game developers are invited to submit completed or beta versions of Android mobile games for the chance to win prizes and receive international recognition. To qualify, games must  (1) be created by diverse teams/individuals and/or (2) feature new and diverse stories, voices, and characters.  Please read the complete Challenge Guidelines and Official Rules for eligibility and game requirements.

Panels of expert judges will review submissions, and one team will be selected to receive financial and capacity-building support — including funding, mentorship, marketing and promotional opportunities.
