Eyram Tawia, the CEO of Leti Arts has been recognized for his decades of work within the African games industry by the 40 Under 40 group within the software development category.

Through his efforts, Africa is now able to take pride in a growing video game industry that has come to symbolize the continent’s technological future. He has won several awards for his contribution to the gaming industry including the British Council Young Creative Entrepreneurs Media Awards (2012), Vodafone Global Appstar 2014 Award, Africa Entrepreneurship Award 2015 and the World Summit Awards 2018.

Eyram celebrated his win with a delighted post on social media.

Kudos to the Leti Arts team and all African game studios and enthusiasts contributing their quotas to see game development become a major Software development discipline in Africa. This is a testimony to the African video game industry. For us to be recognized in the category of software development is remarkable as game development establishes the robustness and potency of the African software development ecosystem.
