Tunisian outfit, NewGen Studio has unveiled the Steam page for its latest project, Gone Digging, marking another milestone for the fast-rising Tunisian game developer. The announcement reflects the studio’s signature blend of experimentation and ambition, introducing a fresh concept while reinforcing its growing presence on the global indie scene. Though a release date remains under wraps, the reveal alone has been enough to spark curiosity among fans and industry watchers alike.

The project was announced with characteristic candor and humor by CEO Seifeddine Ben Hamouda, who shared the inspiration behind the game in his own words:
“Not sure how this crazy idea came to my mind, but here we are 😄 ‘Gone Digging’ Steam page is now live! Another game by NewGen Studio, with a special thumbs up to Chourouk Hichri a true code digger.”

Gone Digging arrives at a time when NewGen Studio is already well known for pushing creative boundaries. The studio continues to actively support its breakout success West Hunt, a title that helped put the team on the international map thanks to its inventive take on social deduction and Western aesthetics. That momentum shows no sign of slowing, as NewGen has confirmed plans to develop West Hunt 2, building on the foundations of the original while exploring new ideas.

Looking further ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the studio. In addition to its work on West Hunt 2, NewGen plans to launch two brand-new horror projects, signaling a deliberate expansion into darker and more atmospheric genres. At the same time, North Hunt is now on the horizon, hinting at a broader universe and an even more diverse portfolio.

Gone Digging is targeting a Q2 2026 release window and is available to wishlist on Steam now
