The names of African studios accepted into the third annual Xbox Game Camp Africa, a milestone program dedicated to nurturing and accelerating game development talent across the continent has been revealed.

Following an overwhelming response from studios across Africa, the program has doubled its intake expanding from 8 to 18 studios representing 12 countries, highlighting both the depth of talent and the growing momentum of Africa’s gaming ecosystem.

The Studios Selected for Xbox Game Camp Africa 2025

The following studios will participate in the upcoming cohort:

  • Dawn Of Game Studio – Cameroon
  • Disputed People Games – South Africa
  • Elder Studios – Ethiopia
  • Fer Factor – Nigeria
  • Four Old Men – South Africa
  • Junub Games – South Sudan
  • Kiro’o Games – Cameroon
  • Kucheza Gaming – Nigeria
  • Kunta Content – Kenya
  • Kwathu Kollective – Malawi
  • Leti Arts – Ghana
  • Masseka Game Studio – Central African Republic
  • Nout Games – Egypt
  • Pineapple On Pizza Studios – South Africa
  • SpaceSalad Studios – South Africa
  • Usiku Games – Kenya

For studios that applied but were not selected this year, the team has confirmed that many are already shortlisted for the next edition, reinforcing the long-term vision behind the initiative.

Backed by Xbox through ID@Xbox and Microsoft Developer Acceleration Program (DAP), the initiative supports teams from early-stage ideation through to prototyping and pitching. Participants will work closely with mentors from Team Xbox, receiving hands-on technical guidance and creative feedback as they refine their projects and business strategies.

Since its global launch in 2020, Xbox Game Camp has welcomed over 3,000 alumni worldwide, with Africa emerging as one of its strongest and fastest-growing communities.
