Newly relaunched publisher Acclaim, Inc. has announced that Tossdown, the upcoming title from Nigerian developer Fer Factor, will be featured at Gamathon Nigeria, giving thousands of attendees a chance to play the game ahead of its release.
Tossdown throws players into a chaotic, high-energy world where package delivery is anything but ordinary. Combining elements of roguelite action, bullet hell intensity, and classic arcade runners, the game challenges players to survive relentless hazards while racing against time. Wild power-ups, over 50 perks, and multiple characters with unique abilities ensure that no two runs are ever the same. Its wacky style and breakneck pace harken back to the inventive spirit of Sega’s Dreamcast era, while embracing modern design sensibilities that speak to today’s global indie scene.
For Acclaim, the showcase is a statement of intent. Once a legendary name in publishing, the company is signaling its commitment to championing bold, diverse voices in gaming through projects like Tossdown. For Fer Factor, the Nigerian studio behind the game, Gamathon Nigeria provides not just exposure at home but also a platform to demonstrate how African creativity is making waves on the international stage.
The event marks a major showcase for the project, which has been described as a fast-paced love letter to the Dreamcast era and is scheduled to launch on Steam and consoles in 2026.
