BopZilla Studios is the newest addition to the vibrant South African gaming scene. Founded by alumni from the University of the Witwatersrand, they join the brand of creative powerhouses that includes Free Lives, Team Lazerbeam, Nyamakop, The Brotherhood, YellowLab and many more.

Za’ yaanah Albertyn and Brendan Jackson helm the new outfit and revealed the news with their ambition for the studio.

“We’re proud to officially launch BopZilla Studios, a brand new South African indie game design studio built on passion, creativity, and a love for playful chaos. We’re building original, high-energy digital and analog games that reflect our bold vision, and unfiltered imagination.
Our mission? To make games that surprise, delight, and disrupt—whether it’s on your screen, your table, or in your head long after you’ve put the controller down.”
