Ayo Ayomide has been selectedd to join the 2024 GDC Program. An initiative run by the International Game developers Association. In an application round that garnered a record-breaking 750 applications, he beat off stiff competition to be one of 75 selected.

Speaking on his selection, the software developer via social media said

I am delighted to announce that I have been chosen as one of the 75 candidates for the prestigious IGDA 2024 GDC program. This incredible opportunity will allow me to explore and gain deeper insights into the dynamic game industry. I am sincerely grateful to everyone who played a pivotal role in making this possible, with special thanks to Michael Oscar Esio and Alyssa Padia Walles. I am eager to make the most of this chance and look forward to the enriching experiences that lie ahead in the program.

First established in 2007, the IGDA Foundation gives individuals from underrepresented communities around the globe a chance to attend GDC, learn more about the industry, and connect with experienced mentors face-to-face.
