Tunisian / Maltese developer Yourun Ltd have had their multiplayer 2D action platformer, Warshmallows snapped up by Finland based publishers, Bonus Stage ahead of a potential March release.

Warshmallows had been one of the standout titles of the past year, culminating winning the Audience Choice Award at Nordic Games Discovery Contest in November 2020, when studio highlighted their immediate goal was to secure a publishing deal.

“The release of the game will happen in 2021. Next step will be to sign a good publishing deal and get ready to port the game on PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile in the next 6 months.”

Their search for a publisher appears to have come to an end with Bonus Stage already actively promoting the game and announcing a likely release window in March of 2020. The Finnish outfit is a relatively new player to the publishing landscape, but already has a number of indie titles secured to their label.

Warshmallows is a local and online multiplayer game set in a cute universe that pits players against one another in a battle for supremacy and currently in Early Access on Steam.
