The seeds of a partnership formed in 2021 between Kiro’o Games and France based Mounia Aram have begun to bear animated fruit.

In a social media post, CEO of Kiro’o Games, Olivier Madiba said, “The first animated series on Aurion will be called “Caloo Hunters.” Surprise, it will not be the Kori-Odan but another younger heroine of the same period.”

Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan is one of their famous titles that was released in 2016. He added that the first season has already been written and that the trio Kiroo Games, Chouette Compagnie and Mounia ARAM is currently in the negotiation phase with broadcasters.

Chouette Compagnie was founded in 2015 and it develops and produces animation series in partnership with the main French and international actors in the sector. The company has a studio in Montreuil and a studio in Angouleme, the capital of comics and French animation.

Mounia Aram is a professional in the animation industry with nearly 20 years of experience. She was born in Casablanca, Morocco and she grew up in France. During her career, she noticed that African Animations were not present enough on the international scene. That’s why she decided to launch Mounia Aram Company in 2019, a company that specializes in African animation. She launched her own company not only as a business leader but moreover to defend her belief: Africa is a continent that should matter.

Whilst no additional details on the project have been revealed more information has been promised for later in the year.
