Kenya set to host Droidcon

Local and international Android developers will assemble in Nairobi for Droidcon. The two day event will bring together some of the brightest Android developers in Africa for a knowledge sharing event set to be the largest of its kind.

For the uninitiated, Android devices are hugely popular on the continent for a number of reasons:

  • They are relatively affordable and cheap.
  • There is a large and varied assortment of widgets.
  • And as a developer the platform is conducive for customisation.

Droidcon is a global conference focused that provides a forum for developers to network with other developers, share techniques, announce apps and products, and to learn and teach. Among the confirmed speakers include Ethiopian game developer – Dawit Abraham, Temidayo Adefioye and many more.
