From November 5th to 7th, 2025, Ghana hosted its first edition of Novembre Numérique, the global festival dedicated to digital culture and creative technology. Organized by Alliance Française Accra, Institut Français Ghana, and Leti Arts, the event gathered creators, technologists, students, academics, and policymakers to explore how Africa is shaping the future of digital storytelling.
The festival marked a milestone for Ghana’s growing digital ecosystem, symbolizing both a celebration of innovation and a strategic step toward building long-term capacity in immersive media and game development. Novembre Numérique, an international initiative celebrated in more than eighty countries, reached Ghana for the first time. Its arrival signaled the nation’s rising influence at the intersection of culture, technology, and education. The Accra edition emphasized digital heritage, immersive storytelling, African gaming, artificial intelligence, and creative entrepreneurship, creating an environment not only for discussion but for experimentation and cross-cultural collaboration.
Over three days, Alliance Française Accra became a living hub where culture blended with code and imagination met innovation. The event strengthened networks between creators, institutions, and educators, while instilling confidence that Africa’s digital future will be shaped both locally and globally.
Its legacy continues through Immersa Africa, a new initiative by Alliance Française Accra and Leti Arts aimed at training the next generation of XR, immersive media, and game development talent. By equipping young Africans with the tools and mentorship to build meaningful digital experiences, the program promises to amplify authentic African stories on the world stage.
