Nizaan Carawan or FATAL1N3 is a South African solo developer who has had his latest project – Staring Time featured on a videogame showcase dedicated to horror titles.
Started in 2022, the Horror game awards has a singular focus: to celebrate horror as one of the best genres in video games and to recognise the year’s greatest horror games alongside the developers who make them.
Inspired by Layers Of Fear and Slender Man, Staring Time focuses on tense exploration in a dark surrealism nightmare. You play as character who experiences sleep paralysis induced by the hypnotizing sound of a strange clock. The goal is to try to escape the nightmare before the demons eat your soul.
Staring Time is still early in development, with the trailer reveal designed to announce the game targetting a PC release. When? I guess we’ll find out in due time.
