Maliyo Games has announced MaliyoCON 2025, a developer-led mobile games conference designed to highlight the talent and technology shaping Africa’s growing gaming sector. The event will be held on 11 December 2025 in Lagos, Nigeria, and aims to bring together creators, industry leaders, investors, and publishers for a full day of discussions, demonstrations, and collaboration.

According to Maliyo Games, the conference will serve as a meeting point for developers from across the continent and international partners interested in Africa’s mobile games landscape. The programme includes workshops run by experienced professionals, game showcases from emerging studios, and panel conversations focused on topics such as funding, publishing, and scaling mobile titles for global markets. Attendees will also have opportunities to meet investors, tool providers, and publishers working in the mobile ecosystem.

The speaker lineup which has not yet been revealed will include studio founders, CEOs, technology specialists, and investors. Participants will discuss approaches to building and distributing mobile games, the role of local creative perspectives, and the tools influencing present-day development pipelines. Sessions will also explore industry trends and the means through which African teams can access finance and distribution networks beyond the continent.
