One of the breakout succeses of the year – Virago continues to outperform its expectation. With little to no spend the mobile title has made it into the top paid apps in the United States.

Breaking the news on social media, founder of Honest Chronicle, Sunday Akor expressed his delight.

“So glad to announce that Virago has made it to the #10 most paid game on Apple in US! again after selling over 400+ copies in a single day the most I’ve ever done on mobile!

So happy for this achievement, I was told that my first week sales was going to be my biggest sale after game release but it’s been 4 months now and I’ve broken my first week sales number multiple times.”

I was also told that paid games don’t do well, especially for Africans. I was also told I would have to spend a lot of money on advertising for my game to reach the top 100 list, but throughout my release I have spent well over $0 on marketing. My only source of promotion is posting on TikTok which is free!
