The African games co-production market event hosted by SpielFabrique in collaboration with Ubisoft and Goethe Institute have revealed the recipients of their first funding round.

Kunta Content (Kenya), Kayfo Game Studio (Senegal) & Jiwe Studios (Kenya) will each receive a €10,000 grant and mentorship from Ubisoft experts. Thus becoming the first recipients of any financial support since being selected for the African games co-production market in November 2021.

Along with the announcement, SpielFabrique still have an open call for European studios: Established indie studios from all over Europe with high-level experience in developing video games on PC, Console and/or Mobile are wanted to collaborate with African teams. Studios can apply on in Google Form here.
