With the adoption to digital gathering speed, a new research by Business Financing has delved into the search habits of consumers around the world to better understand the trends that dominate each region. According to their methodology, Epic Games, Gameloft and Atari dominate search terms over a twelve month period.
Whilst Nintendo dominated the global gaming brand search terms, it was a different case across the African continent where Epic Games and Gameloft ruled the web across 52 countries. The two Sudans featured no featured terms.
Whilst the ostentatious nature of the piece night raise a few eye brows about its authenticity, it’s still a great read. According to Business Financing, the maps were produced by curating a long list of consumer brands using existing rankings on the world’s most valuable and popular brands from sources such as Forbes, Financial Times, GameDesigning.org, BrandDirectory, ICT Buzz, FashionUnited and WorldAtlas.
They then used Google Keyword Planner tool to gather global monthly search volume data (over 12 months) for each brand. We did this to establish the most searched for consumer brands in each country across the different sectors. When determining the most searched brand in a given country, adjusted search volumes were used.
